What should we do before giving our computer to service man to service?


Hello i am sharing my idea to stop getting fraud.
Dear friends now a days many service men cheating customers when they giving their computer to repair, here i say something that you giving before just note some details of your computer.

2 methods

  1. Physical method
  2. dxdiag method (Recommended)
Physical Method (must do this)

  • Remove your cabinet first and note the things you have in you cabinet.
  • take a marker pen
  • take off RAM memory and mark it with marker and notedown details of RAM
  • take off processor fan and mark on processor & note which processor is it
  • Sign on where you look free space in your motherboard and notedown details of motherboard
  • Write down the Unique numbers above the Hard Disk Drive & DVD/CD Drive & also Sign above that
  • Close the Cabinet and give it to service

DXDIAG mothod (in case if your system is not getting on leave this method)

  • Take a Pendrive or if u not have just note it in a book or paper.
  • go to RUN (WINDOWS + R in keyboard)
  • type Command "DXDIAG" one dialog appears click Yes
  • The DirectX Diagnostic tool appears
  • in system information you get all details of your system hardware components & specifications.
  • you look "Save all Information" button under right side of Dxdiag tool, and save it to Pendrive.
  • or just note down in a book/paper if u not have pendrive.
After your service done check your Components you given before and take your computer.
