Caring of Hard Disk Drives

  • Avoid rough handling of the Hard Disk Drives (HDD's). This is because rough handling may cause damage to the HDD & these by causing the data loss.
  • Never expose the internal circuitry of the HDD to open air. This may cause dirt or moisture being accumulated on the internals of the HDD that may reduce the lifespan of the HDD.
  • Check that cables are properly connected & sufficent power is being supplied to the HDD.
  • Never move HDD while it is still spinning.

If you like to increase/optimize your Hard Disk I/O - read/write speed without buying expensive software utilities to do that job or changing the HD, just follow next steps. With doing these steps you will increase Hard disk speed (depends of manufacture and specification, but its worth to try).
